Anyone who follows our blog regularly will know how much the twins love BRIO train sets. We have so much track now it’s unbelievable. The last set we had the pleasure of reviewing was the Railway World Deluxe Set which is one of the largest sets BRIO make. When asked would we like to review the central train station I just couldn’t say no because the boys love-making their own villages and this would be a great addition to mountains of track and station pieces we already have. Keep a look out on Instagram for some pictures over the coming weeks.
Over the years as a family we have collected lots of sets and individual pieces. Some of the track and trains we have are at least 10 years old and still in excellent condition. We have bought train upon train to go with the track. The central station is a welcome addition to take our track building to the next level.
The station has two lines through it so is comparable to a real train station. The boys loved this and the fact it allowed them to have two trains going through in opposite directions. They have made small and large tracks with the station playing a central part. Because the station has two tracks its has stopped any arguments over who can drive their train through.
BRIO train track has to be the best quality track on the market in our opinion. Believe us when we say we have tried all sorts out before. The wood withstands so much bashing and banging about and we have only ever had one broken piece. You really do get value for money. It’s not the cheapest to invest in but you won’t be let down on quality that is for sure.
The central station is RRP £39.99. It comes on its own with a figure. There is no track with this items so if buying for someone make sure they already have some of their own track or purchase along side a track set.
The station is very well made with a mixture of wood and plastic. It’s also interactive and if you stand any BRIO figure in front of the ticket machine it makes a noise. The noise is to try to replica a real machine issuing a ticket in the station. The boys loved this element and we have been buying tickets to lots of random places I never even knew existed. That’s imagination for you.
I know we will be having lots of fun with this BRIO Central Train Station. BRIO is a train set for all ages and a real family toy.
You can buy BRIO in most toy shops and online. We have popped a link below for the Central Train Station and also a smaller train set that would make a great gift together.
