I have taken some time off over the Christmas break from the blog and social media. I needed a break its been so hectic these last few months. Some me time and time with family and friends was just what was needed. It’s been great just relaxing and not having to worry about mumdadplus4 or work for a few days.
I have had a lovely Christmas just relaxing. Neil and the boys however have been quite poorly Neil has spent most of the week in bed with flu and the boys have had trips to A&E and the doctors with some kind of virus. They are still coughing and super cuddly. Temperatures of 40 and unable to keep them down has been a worrying and busy few days.
We have spent the Christmas break at home like we usually do, it’s great to all be together. Unfortunately we had to cancel lots of our plans due to everyone being ill. I have also found myself eating all the treats whilst everyone is tucked up in bed. They are just there and calling my name I need to get them out of the house ASAP.
Christmas day was challenging for us. Edward was really poorly and spent most of Christmas Eve asleep on the sofa with dad, he didn’t wake till about 8.30am. Kaitlin, Jack and Euan where sat waiting to open their presents because they wanted to do it all together. Thankfully he perked up for a few hours when he did wake to open and play with some presents before needing a nap. I enjoyed a Gin and Tonic at night whilst everyone was in bed.
Christmas diner was a wash out as well as no one really had an appetite. Lamb and stuffing sandwiches have been my diet for a few days. They did try though and I certainly enjoyed mine. Hoping New Years Day Diner goes down better with everyone. Also just hoping and praying I don’t get ill so close to the end of the holidays.
I am now back to work and have some great posts coming up and cant wait to see what 2018 brings for me and my family.
Did you have a good Christmas break or did everything go wrong like it did for us?
I would just like to say Happy New year to you all and I hope you all have a great night tomorrow where ever you may be. Be merry and safe. Hope you pop back and check out what we have been up to in 2018.
