The twins love what we call take turn games. This is where they have to do something then wait for the next person to take their turn. We have a few different games like this and Bunny Jump is just perfect for taking turns. I couldn’t resist letting them review this when I had the chance. The loved Don’t Rock The Boat which we reviewed earlier this year.
Bunny Jump is a game from university games and is aimed a children aged 5+. The twins are only three (nearly 4) and with help from one of us can play it no problem. I would say age 5 is about right if you want them to play independently because it has a few steps to each turn.
The set comes with 12 carrots, a bunny, the spinning circle and 4 pots for collecting your carrots after each turn. You also get the hill which the carrots and rabbit stand in. Bunny Jump speaks for itself, the aim is to get the bunny to jump in the air. You do this by spinning the wheel and doing what it tells you for example pull 2 carrots or miss a turn.
The bunny will jump at some point and the person who catches the bunny gets to remove two carrots from one of their opponents. This can mean you might win if you catch it because the person with the most carrots wins.
The game play is really simple but we had to tell the twins what to do on each turn. It was good teaching them to count the carrots each turn and also at the end of the game. So there is an educational element to the game as well.
You can have 2-4 players for Bunny Jump so it’s easy for one of us to play along with the twins if we choose to.
Bunny Jump is a great quick fun game to play. It’s fast paced so no boring lows. The twins get so excited when playing.
You can buy Bunny Jump from all good toys shops as well as amazon. You can also see a full range of games at University Games
