The twins just love BRIO in fact the whole family loves it. Over the years as a family we have collected so much I am now wondering how to store it all. Despite having loads already I just couldn’t resist reviewing the BRIO Railway World Deluxe Set . The boys just love playing with the trains and play sets we have.
The BRIO Railway World Deluxe Set has to be my best set so far. There is so much to play with and imagination really kicks in with the boys. The set comes with a large price tag of £299 however the contents are extremely well made and will last a very long time with lots and lots of hours of play. As we have said before some of our BRIO is 3 generations old now and still in excellent condition. It’s a toy which holds it value and will still be played with in many years to come by our family or another.
The set comes packaged in two green BRIO boxes which are super cool and I need to get some more to store the rest of our sets. The packaging shows you exactly what the set has so you can see what’s inside. I wont lost it all because there is just to much you get 106 pieces in this set. It’s all wrapped and packaged neatly and has no issues fitting back in the boxes once you have finished playing.
The set is really easy to set up, the worst part was un-packaging everything as it was individually wrapped. We decided to follow the instructions to see what this set is designed to look like. The boys however have now migrated the set into the rest of their BRIO collection and we have built lots of different variations.
The below video show just how excited my boys are about BRIO and shows us building the Railway World Deluxe Set . After it was built they played for three hours exploring all the extra bits this set has above just a simple train track.
As we built the set I was getting more and more excited as we added each piece. Some of the bigger sections are super interactive. The lighthouse makes brilliant sounds, its seagulls like being at the seaside. The boat makes amazing noises like a big fishing hauler would. All these little things are what makes this set more than just another BRIO set.
The BRIO Railway World Deluxe Set has several sections to it. There is a port with lighthouse and fishing boat. Train station with talking billboard for London, New York, Paris and more. The airport, yes that’s right an airport with air traffic control, runway and your very own plane. The set also has cargo sections which can lift cargo from the back of truck. There is a farm with cattle cars. This set just covers so many things.
Once set up the boys really didn’t know where to begin. They loved it all, Edward spent ages playing with the airport section to begin with and then moved onto the boat. These are two new things that we haven’t had in sets before. It wasn’t long before they were pushing trains round and making lots of choo choo noises.
The boys have absolutely loved this BRIO set. We have collected so much over the years we can fill our lounge with track. The BRIO Railway World Deluxe Set however is perfect if you have no BRIO and want to start your own collection. There are so many variations you can build with your set, you just need to use your imagination. BRIO is not a toy that has to be played with in a certain way it encourages you to be creative and play how you would like. In our house that means cars and trains all use the same track. Little people really can have hours of fun and every time you get your set out its different.
The Railway World Deluxe set is priced £299 which is quite a large price tag but if you are a BRIO fan and you play with your sets a lot this is certainly a set worth buying. Its also a great starter set if you want to have lots of variations to allow your children to be creative. You can of course buy smaller sets to start your collection and introduce your children to the world of BRIO trains and track sets. I am so glad my boys love it because its such a creative toy and allows them to use and practice lots of skills.
