Who doesn’t love chocolate. It’s one of my downfalls and Kaitlin is the same. Kaitlin loves the chocolate toys you can get and we have tried out a few over the years. Recently we have had the chance to try the chocolate egg maker.
The chocolate egg maker allows you to make chocolate filled eggs for you and your friends. You can pop whatever treat you choose inside. We added more chocolate in the form of mini eggs to ours. The set comes with mini bags for melting your chocolate, 4 surprise eggs, foil, 2 molds, utensils and machine to make your eggs. The instructions are really simple to follow so children can follow them easily alone. There are a few tricky bits but Kaitlin managed to do it all no problem. We popped our eggs in the freezer like the instructions say but we probably left it way to long as we forgot. The eggs therefore didn’t pop out very easily. This didn’t bother the kids though chocolate is chocolate broke or not.The machine and molds are all washable and therefore can be used again and and again. The bags for melting the chocolate are not essential but do make things a lot less messier.
The molds and equipment is all easy to clean and we just used hot soapy water. It all cleaned really easily ready for use again. Even when you run out of bags and foil you can still use the molds to make more eggs.
Overall this is a great little set for children to have some independence with melting chocolate and making little treat for themselves. You don’t actually use that much chocolate to make the eggs we made 3 using a £1 bar of milk chocolate and if your anything like me I hate using cooking chocolate and always go for Cadbury’s or Galaxy for things like this.
