Yesterday I traveled down to Atherstone with the twins my sister and dad. It was my cousins wedding at Mythe Barn. All the family had been invited but because it was a school day we couldn’t all make it. I love going to weddings so was super excited to have been invited. The weekend started with a mad dash to find some braces for the boys after Neil bought some pants for the boys one set with braces and one without. You can imagine the arguments that erupted.
After a frantic last minute shop I found some trousers and manged to get everything packed and ready. I got myself ready and had an early night. I had Friday morning all planned and everything was going to plan till I dropped Jack at school and realised I hadn’t packed the boys new wedding outfits. So I had to drive all the way back home before I could go and pick my sister and dad up. Thankfully that was the only hiccup we had except missing the turning for the M56 on the way home.Because it was so far away we booked some rooms at the Red Lion hotel which is only a few minutes away from Mythe Barn in a taxi. It was £65 for a twin and £75 for a family room on a B&B basis which I though was very reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable but the pull out bed is certainly only for little kids, my sister said it was like sleeping on paper. The twins took over the double bed with me.
Mythe Barn is a stunning location for a wedding. I was immediately impressed upon arrival. My cousin had also thought of everything. She made sure that everyone’s needs were covered, starting with a huge bouncy castle for the kids at the front of venue. The boys couldn’t wait to go jump.
The decor and attention to detail was amazing. You can see from the pictures how nice Mythe Barn is and what a fantastic day we had. The food was unbelievable and so tasty, and I loved how they roped one guest from each table in to serving. The day was just one surprise after another.
Thanks Vicky and David for a fabulous day.
I love My Family
