If you know who Masha and Bear are then you probably have some toddler children or grandchildren. Masha and Bear is a Russian animated television series created on 2009. The series has been translated into 25 different languages. Edward and Euan love watching Masha and Bear. It is usually their chill out snack time program in the afternoon. You can watch it over on Cartoonito or there are lots of episodes on You tube as well.
To compliment the TV series a new toy range has been released. The toys allow children to create their own Masha and Bear adventures through imaginative play. We have had the pleasure of trying out the Ambulance Set which costs £19.99. The set contains the 20-cm original ambulance with fabulous features, a Masha figure, two wolf figures, a wheelchair, a stretcher and many more accessories.
The boys couldn’t wait to get it all out of the packaging and start playing. They play really well together most of the time but Euan’s took a shinning to this and it has now become Euan’s ambulance. There are lots of small pieces in this set that we have had to place in a bag and only get out when specifically playing with this set. Just a note in case you have smaller children roaming round as well.
The set is well made and thought out, the boys got to work making role play straight away placing Masha on the bed and pushing her in the wheel chair. It really did get them using their imaginations which is what the set is designed to do. Whilst the toy is well made its not very robust. We have put this toy away and get it out for specific play sessions now. It wouldn’t withstand the chaos of our playroom being chucked around all the time for very long.
The twins have had lots of fun playing with this and as mentioned above although its not out all the time it is a toy that they like to play with and it sparks imagination and role play amongst them.
You can purchase the Masha and Bear Ambulance and look at other toys in the range at The Entertainer Toy Shop. This set costs £19.99 at time of writing this review.
