I recently attended a sandal event with Hotter shoes at my local Bury store. I have walked past so many times but never been in and looked before. Peoples perception I think is they are for old people but they couldn’t be more wrong. They have some fabulous ranges and styles to suit both young and old. When I was invited I knew the event would be about the sandals range so it was great to look on line and see what they had available before attending the event. This is when I was really shocked at the range of styles they actually have.
The event took place a few days after the awful events in Manchester and it was good to just relax and reflect with other people who had been effected by it. The evening was extremely relaxed and all usual rules went out the window including the presentation. That didn’t matter though because the staff are excellent and really do know what they are talking about. They are very honest and will guide you to the perfect fitting shoe, not just say they look nice when really they are awful and don’t suit your foot at all. I was really impressed and will be stopping by again for more shoes in the future.
I was really surprised when checking out the Hotter website that I actually liked 3 different styles just from the pictures online. This is somewhat of a first for me as I am really picky about sandals. I couldn’t wait to try some on at the event.
After trying on what felt like half of the shop I did settle on a pair I really liked. The decision then was the correct size as I was in between a 6.5 and 7. The staff were great though bringing out lots of different shoes in various sizes. I walked around the shop for ages just looking and chatting before deciding on a size 7. What was great though was the staff said take them home try them on again in the morning and if you decided the size isn’t right bring them back and change them. They have a 100% happy guarantee which means you can change you mind up to 90 days after purchase (T&Cs apply) but I thought this was great because it was warm and I wasn’t sure if my feet were swollen and the sandals would be huge the next day or not.
The pair I choose are called Island Sandals and they come in three colour choices – Vintage Floral, Tan Multi and Blue Multi. I tried the Vintage Floral on but settled for the Tan Multi.
