We have had the pleasure of trying out the Eisberg Sparkling non alcoholic wine. It’s a great alternative especially if your designated driver or just don’t fancy a drink. We have been sent a bottle of white and a rose to try out. I love rose wine so was really hoping it would taste nice like the rose wine we tried before. We made sure it was well chilled before popping the cork. It’s the only way I like to drink my wine.
I enjoyed both the Rose and the White. They have a very distinct taste and you can enjoy it like a glass of alcoholic wine. I first thought it may just have a fruity fizzy pop taste to it but it didn’t it has that tang you get when drinking wine.
I decided after tasting a glass of each that I would make some fruit punches with them and they went down great at our BBQ. So good in fact that I never got a chance to take a picture so will have to make them again some time.
To make the fruit punch we used lots of chopped up fruit and a little extra lemonade to top up the jugs.
Rose Punch – We chopped up strawberries, some purple grapes halved and then chucked in a hand full of raspberries, ice cubes (the big ones from the bags at the supermarket) then added the bottle of Eisberg Sparkling Rose and topped with lemonade.
White Punch – We chopped apples, halved some green grapes and added the Eisberg White and topped with lemonade and ice cubes as above.
You serve it immediately in tall glasses with straws and fruit to garnish.
When looking online I found someone had used the rose to make jelly and thought what a great idea this is and certainly one I might try again one day. I also came across lots of lovely cocktail recipes on the Eisberg website that you can try.
