My kids love to be outdoors come rain or shine. With that comes falls, stumbles and grazed knees and elbows. I think being outdoors exploring is a very important part of a child’s development and that we should encourage our children to go out and explore even if that means getting dirty and having the odd fall.
The twins are so clumsy when in their wellies and we often have trips and falls. All these are quickly sorted with some magic cream, plasters and mummy kisses. Euan face planted a puddle once as you can see in the below picture. He didn’t cry just laughed and carried on, that’s what puddle jumping is all about.
Elastoplast have brought out a cool range of plasters to help sort those little grazes and nicks out. We have had the chance to sample Frozen and Star Wars in our house. I must say they have gone down and absolute treat here.
Jack used a storm trouper for his grazed finger and Edward loved Olaf when he grazed his knee quite badly the other week.
What are your mummy tips for those little bumps and grazes? I have popped a few of mine below but please do feel free to share yours below by commenting.
- My kids always insist on magic cream also well know to the nation as Sudacrem.
- The good old mummy cuddle, cant beat a snuggle.
- The magic mummy kiss no one else’s will do
- Of course a magic plaster to keep it protected.
- Chocolate and sweets always work a treat after a fall.
Below is a lovely video which shows children having fun outdoors, it also shows how they do get little scrapes and how easily they can be fixed and back to playing with a small little plaster.
Don’t wrap your children in cotton wool let them be kids let them explore and learn for themselves.
