The boys love doing craft things and messy play. It’s such a good way to help them learn hand eye coordination, colours, shapes and things whilst having fun. Play-Doh is perfect for just that. It’s fun and messy and you can create lots of different things allowing young imaginations to flow.
When asked would we like to try out the new Play-Doh Kitchen Creations range we jumped at the chance. The boys love playing with it at nursery so I thought it would be great to be able to have some fun at home. We received the Sizzlin Stovetop which is like a little stove top cooker.
The Sizzlin Stovetop set comes with pans, cooker, moulds for steak, eggs, peas (I think), fish, cutting tools, plates and 5 pots of Play-Doh. You get Green, Yellow, Orange, White and Red Play-Doh
The boys enjoyed making different dishes and colours of food. Once they worked out how to use the mounds it was really easy for them to do on their own. We have different coloured versions of everything.
The cooker actually makes a great sizzling sounds just like a cooker. The boys loved placing their creations in to cook and waiting for the sizzle to finish. We made steak and chips, fried eggs, fish in all 5 colours. They had so much fun playing with this set along side the Noodle Makin Mania.
This set is fab for imagination and some messy play. We used our table to play on and I limited it to 30 minutes each time which is just right. The set time limit meant they enjoyed making things but didn’t get bored and start mixing all the colours. There was plenty for them to create in that half an hour.
We now use the Play-Doh sets several times a week and they are great for keeping them occupied in the kitchen whilst you are cooking or cleaning.
Play-Doh is made by Hasbro and they have a huge range of sets you can you buy. Check out the Play-Doh page at Hasbro for more details,
