So as week one of the Easter holidays comes to a close in our house we have had lots of fun, tantrum and awesome cake. We have been to the park, the lake, had ice cream and also had a duvet day. I sometimes find the holidays really hard because of the age difference between the kids. It can be really hard keeping them all entertained. This Easter Holidays has been the best we have had so far and I can’t wait for next week now.
Monday – We had fun at home in the garden it was really nice weather, the kids love being outdoors. We also had massive tantrums from Jack which is quite normal in the school holidays. Kaitlin attempted a Victoria sponge and failed miserably but will try again soon.
Tuesday – We got out and about and had some fun at the park. We visited Springfield park in Rochdale and the boys love that the pirate ship is set in sand. All we heard for hours was sand castles mummy. We had to cut our visit a little short as Euan had a little accident. No drama though we had spare pants back in the car. After lunch (tuna mayo everyone’s favourite) we went along to Bents Garden Centre. We had a lovely wonder round and even checked out the amazing hot tub selection. From there we had some time to spare so we made a visit over to Warrington and went to The Skymaster. The playground was great for the kids and the food was amazing, highly recommend the buttermilk chicken and we will certainly be going back.
Wednesday – We had a duvet and chill day at home. I managed to get lots of work done and Kaitlin baked her second cake which was a total success this time. It looks delicious and I can safely say itstastes better than it looks as well.
Thursday – We got out and about again. We had a drive up to Hollingworth Lake. We parked up and set of on our adventure. It took us two hours to walk round the lake. The kids played on the adventure park, we saw horses and we had full blown I am not walking anymore and Euan sat on the floor. We made it in the end though and treated ourselves to freshly made donuts. The day was then finished off with Euan being sick everywhere and needing three changes of bedding.
Friday – The end of the week. Well last night was eventful with Euan to say the least. I am shattered today and trying to catch up on a little bit or work before we go on a walking adventure to Tandle Hills. Kaitlin and Jack are then off to Grandad’s for crown green bowling tonight with the new youth team at Royton cricket and bowling club.
Its been a busy week, I am ready for a sit down tonight. We have lots planned for next week first up being a trip to the Trafford centre on Monday to meet Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol.
