So last Friday I had the pleasure of sampling the best breakfast at Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club which is voted the best in the North west by search website trivago.co.uk. Myself and the children went along to the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club near Manchester on Friday morning about 8.30 am. We have heard great things about the hotel and food from friends and family. I was a little nervous taking all 4 children with me especially the twins as they can be loud and messy. I shouldn’t have worried one bit because the staff and other customers were amazing.
We entered the hotel into the reception area which is absolutely stunning and certainly what you would expect from a Hotel in the Marriott brand. We asked at reception for directions to the dinning room and off we went in search of breakfast. On arrival at the restaurant we were met by waiting on staff who promptly seated us on a large round table. We had two chairs and large half moon sofa round the table. Perfect for the 5 of us.
As the lady was seating us she asked would we like tea or coffee and offered the children hot chocolate much to their delight. I asked for coffee and within a minute a nice little put holding about 3 cups was placed on the table. Milk and sugar are already in the centre of the table so I was able to make it to my liking. It was freshly brewed, warm and tasted amazing (I don’t often get a warm coffee with 4 children).
Now onto the breakfast the star of the show. Yes it really was that good. The first room you enter has cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices. All self serve and a great variety to chose from. I made some cereals for the boys along with fruit juices for us all.
Walking through you have the hot counter, pastries and porridge (which looked amazing but I didn’t get a chance to try). You can choose from sausages, bacon, eggs all different ways, mushrooms, beans, black pudding and one of my favourites on a breakfast crispy fried toast. They also have a chef waiting to cook eggs just the way to like them. You can choose from fried, scrambled, poached or even a freshly cooked omelette. They even did a super healthy egg white omelette. I opted for a normal omelette with ham, cheese, onions and mushroom. It was amazing, you could tell it was all fresh ingredients and it tasted amazing, it wasn’t to big nor to small and was just the right size to allow you to add a sausage and beans as well.
I would have loved to go back for seconds but by this time the twins being typical 3 year olds started to get a little restless. They decided they wanted to run around in the big dinning room which was empty at the time and I was a little embarrassed and apologetic to the staff. I was so happy with the way we got treated though they didn’t mind at all and said stop apologising, they are fine. This is always a nice sign that a place is family friendly no matter what the chaos you cause.
Kaitlin and Jack really enjoyed their breakfast Kaitlin opted for some hot food and Jack stuck to pastries with chocolate spread. He was sold the minute he saw the mini Nutella pots. Kaitlin and Jack were welcomed to go and get their own breakfast and the staff assisted them if needed which was brilliant for me it allowed me to A eat my own breakfast and B watch the boys.
Whilst there we witnessed how helpful the staff really were, there was and elderly couple struggling to make their cereals and a gentlemen (think it was the manager) stopped what he was doing and immediately went over to help them. Nothing at all was to much trouble for any of the staff no matter what you needed.
We had left quite a mess by the time we were leaving, what you expect with 4 children and I did feel a little bit awful but was put at ease by the staff and told not to worry its fine we’ve seen worse. They said as long as we all enjoyed it that’s all that matters.
We had a fantastic breakfast and I can certainly see why it would be voted the best breakfast in the North West. I really want to go back and have a peaceful quiet breakfast with Neil and savour every mouthful of my omelette because it was just amazing. If you are looking for somewhere special for a breakfast meeting a special occasion maybe then I would highly recommend Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club to anyone. The staff are friendly and kind, the hotel was super family friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I felt welcomed and was treated with excellent customer service even though I was the lady with 4 children in the corner making all that noise.
