Do your kids always go for the slush drinks when out? My kids love the frozen slush drinks and spooning it in there mouths as quick as they can. Brain Freeze is a common occurrence with my four. When asked would they like to try out the frozen brain slushy maker at home and make their own they jumped at the chance.
Chillfactor have a range of monster slushy makers and they are super simple to use. The twins have loved sitting at the table scooping up the frozen juice. Little word of advice, if you buy one remind your kids that they can’t use it instantly as you have to freeze the inner sleeve first. My kids were devastated it wasn’t instant but understood once they had read the instructions. There is also minimal mess as well so that’s a win for me.
Each slushy maker comes with the inner lining which you freeze, you then have the rubber outer and monster face which just clips on. We found it really hard to pull apart the first time we used it but it does clip apart on both sides of the monster and is much easier now its been used a few times. You also get a cool straw and spoon so you can eat it just like slush you buy when out.
To make slush you freeze your inner sleeve and then put the monster cup back together before adding your juice of choice. I would recommend you use cooled juice from the fridge as it slushes better and faster. You pour you juice in then wait a few minutes for it to freeze. Squishing the sides you mush it up and keep mushing and waiting till its all frozen and slushy.
Now we have worked out how simple it to use we have tired out milk and fresh fruit smoothies as well. The smoothies take a little longer to freeze and slush up but they make a great sorbet texture. The kids fight over it now so I know I need to invest in another for the summer. They are great for warm days especially on the school run in the car I know these will keep the boys settled and happy.
