We have recently been playing Googly Eyes as a family. Well not the twins as the game is recommended for age 7 plus. Its such a fun family game but you really do need to have some artistic flow. Apart from Kaitlin we are not very good at drawing in this house, so you can imagine some of the pictures.
I bet your all thinking what is she on about. Well Googly Eyes is a game were you have to draw something and your other team mates have to guess what it is. You are up against a clock and have to wear the Googly Eyes glasses. The glasses are not just glasses though they have easy, medium and hard lenses. The aim of the game is to be the first to the end of the board, The board has coloured circles on which decide which lens you must use for your turn.
When its your turn you role the dice and move the spaces. You then know what colour lens you are using. You collect a card from the top of the pile and the only clue you can give your team is what it says on the card so for example Object or entertainment. On the other side of the card are three things listed. You select the one next to the colour lens you are using. Then you have either 15,30 or 45 seconds to draw you picture. You cannot use letter or numbers in your drawings. You really do have to get your imagination working. The lenses make it hard to see what you are drawing. Little tip is if you shut one eye its does help a little.
Its such a fun game, Neil found it really hard as he wear glasses and decided he could do it better without any he was so rubbish. You can put the glasses over your own though he’s just fussy. Me and Kaitlin won but we are both quite good when it comes to drawing.
You can get Googly Eyes from toy shops and supermarkets. You can also get it delivered straight to your door with Amazon.
