We have recently been sent Dinkee Linkee for Kids to review. It’s a brilliant family game for everyone to get involved in. The box says aged 8 and above but you could play with children slightly younger if they have a good general knowledge understanding.
Dinkee Linkee is a children’s version of Linkee its is played in the same way. To play the game you ideally need at minimum of 3 players. One person will be what we call the quiz master (the person to read the questions out). The other two or more will answer questions and you then take turns.
The aim of the game is to be the first to spell DINKEE with your cards. You earn a letter by winning the round. Each card has 4 questions and the answers are a clue to what the answer is on the card. See below picture to give you a better understanding. The letters are on the back of each card.
If you get a few of the same letter there are 2 options to trade your cards in. The 2 card option means you place your 2 cards back in the box and choose a letter from another player and that also goes back in the box. The 3 card trade lets you trade 3 cards and place them back in the box taking a letter out of the box that you need. Great if your losing and maybe just need 1 card.
We have had a great time playing this game and it is one that comes out again and again. It has also been a great tool to help Jack with his reading. We have been told by teachers it doesn’t matter what children read as long as they do lots of reading and Jack really enjoys this.
Great family game and would make a great gift at Christmas.
You can buy Dinkee Linkee from most toy shops and lots of places online.
