The release of the new LEGOLAND 4D Movie at Discovery Centre Manchester
We had the pleasure of attending the launch of the LEGOLAND 4D Movie staring Emmet and Wyldstyle. It was such a great experience we got to walk the red carpet and we had such a great evening watching the movie and having fun building LEGO and playing on the rides.
When we arrived we were greeted with goody bags and Jack was super made up as it had an Emmet keyring in (he loves Emmet) and a poster for his wall to go along side the numerous other LEGO posters and picture he has. The ultimate thrill factor for Jack was when he got to meet Emmet in person he was so happy it really made the night for him.
We entered the cinema via the red carpet that had been laid out for us and took our seats with popcorn and glasses the kids love the 4D cinema experience and wanted to sit as close to the front as they could. Not sure what’s happening with Kaitlin glasses on the picture below but she loved the film wonky glasses or not. (think she just had them on wrong)
The movie was excellent it see’s the return of some of your favourite characters from the LEGO movie along with smoke water and wind (won’t give too much away). All the kids around us seemed to really enjoy it and all came out talking about and how good it was.
Once we had been to see the movie we had time to explore the discovery centre and what it has to offer. The kids first thought was which ride can I go on, they then went for the soft play Jack loves soft play and slides still even at 7. My first thought was nice cup of coffee which they serve from the café along with and extensive range of refreshments to suit all ages.
Once the kids had checked out some rides and made some LEGO they came needing a drink and loved the slushes and cakes that were on offer.
Whilst they enjoyed a drink and cake a lady approached and asked would the kids like to take part in a master builder class, we have never noticed this before and both love building LEGO so yep they went straight over and a member of staff helped them build a snow mobile each which they got to keep and take home much to there delight.
We had a great evening and I cant wait to go back with the twins and explore because I think this could be the prefect place during school time for us to have fun and playdates with our friends.
You can book tickets on-line for LEGOLAND Discovery and get a discounted price from paying on the door.
