Peppa Pig is a hugely popular children’s program loved by both boys and girls. All my kids have enjoyed it over the years. There is a huge range of products to buy not just the story books. Over the years we have had DVD’s teddy bears and plays sets.
Today we have been reading Peppa’s Post all snuggled up on the sofa. It’s a brilliant interactive book to read. The story has many envelopes to open all with different things in them. This intrigued the boys and the minute they saw an envelope they couldn’t wait to get the contents out.
The story is all about a pantomime they go to see and one they take part in themselves at nursery. Probably a great build up for those Nativity nerves coming up to Christmas to show them it will be fun. The story is really easy to follow and like other books from Ladybird books the illustrations and quality is superb.
The book would be perfect for children aged 3-5 as the boys were a little bit too young to fully understand what the things were in the envelopes but they did enjoy the story and the pictures and sat through as I read it to them.
There is a great cryptic wheel in one of the envelopes that older children could use to create their own messages as well as work out the one in the story, my older children aged 7 and 10 actually found this part quite entertaining as well and it gave the imagination a kick start to other things.
Overall this has been a great book for our family and we look forward to reading more in the future. You can see a full range of books on the Ladybird website.
